  2. CNN Student News is great for current events. Go to: http://www.cnn.com/studentnews. Everyday CNN posts a 10 minute broadcast, quiz, interactive news challenge, provides questions for students to blog about, and other current events resources.

  3. I plan most lessons around the internet and what I can incorporate to make a lesson come alive. Time consuming, but it's worth it. CFF opened this all up to me.

  5. The internet has been a major part of my process of becoming a teacher. I have used youtube to find videos that are relevant for discussion, articles online to read and review current events in class, and art/music resources to show the class. I began a blog for my classes this year where I have posted videos, assignments, and other resources. I like to project images and videos for students to think about and respond to.

I assign homework from items on the Internet once in a while. Students who tell me that they have no computer, so they can't do their homework, I tell them that they can use their phone. Most of the time those chomeworks get done
The Internet is perfect for translation, for looking up artists and their works from various Spanish speaking countries. Our school library is ill-equipped to address the needs of the 21st century child. I also like students to do " a day in the life of............"

I plan my lessons to find out the recent environmental issues, and how to solve the issues on the internet by the students. students use the internet
to do projects. The internet is also used by the students to get information on science in the news. Internet is also used to do home work. All these and more is incorporated in the lesson plans.

In terms of planning, the Internet has made it much easier for me to access factual information to support my history lessons. Wikipedia, Britannica on line, and other such sites save a great deal of preparation time.

In regard to teaching skills, the Internet has completely revolutionized research; for example, I no longer teach the Dewey Decimal System and instead focus on evaluating the usefulness of particular search engines.

  12. I would suggest diigo.com as an easy way to bookmark internet pages that you want to use later. If you had a whole class of diigo users, then you could create a "diigo group" whereby everyone would be directed to the same website that you could highlight certain sections of and then have them respond to a pubic online sticky note.
